I have been posting about Malawi and related issues for the better part of a year now. Over the last six months, I have been posting about observations and thoughts taken from the hand written journal that I kept during my trip. Much of the focus of my writing on Malawi over the months since returning from Malawi has been in this blog, and I am at or near the end of what I can write about in this forum. While I have one or two possible writing projects that I will be working on privately and offline, I will be posting here about other things.
To be honest, I’m not quite sure what direction my blogging will take. So, my posts may be more along the lines of “random ramblings about what I am happen to thinking about at the moment.
Added on November 29, 2017 The writing projects on Malawi that I had envisioned when I finished writing about Malawi never materialized. Nonetheless, I am a better person for the two weeks that I spent in Malawi.
I have blogged about aerial wildland firefighting since 2009. I am not a firefighter and am not a pilot, just an interested bystander who wants to learn more and share what I learn here. Join me here as I blog on the aircraft and the pilots who fight wildland fires from the air in support of crews on the ground. I also blog on concerns affecting fire crews on the ground as well as other aviation and meteorology issues. Learn what it takes to do jobs that are staffed by the best of the best.
