Cedar Fire - Oct. 29 2003
In October 2003, the Cedar Fire (fueled by Santa Ana Winds) burned in Southern California, eventually burning 280,278 acres. Firefighter Steven Rucker died on October 29, 2003. Thirteen civilians died, 107 people were injured and over 2,700 buildings (residences, commercial buildings, and out buildings) were destroyed.
