I continue to follow the NJ Forest Fire Service as they are making significant progress in fighting the Mines Spung Wildfire in Burlington County. For my early posts on this fire see my June 13th and June 14th posts. As of 12 PM today the Mines Spung wildfire has burning 5,750 acres and is at 80 percent containment. Five structures are threatened. Road closures remain and the Lower Forge Campground remains under evacuation orders. The Batona Trail in the vicinity of the wildfire is still closed. New Jersey Forest Fire Service groundcrews, engines, and bulldozers continue to work the wildfire.
