2024 New Jersey Wildfire Seasons: 11/8 Updates: Bethany Run, Shotgun, and Pheasant Run Wildfires

I was remiss in my first versions of this post in not acknowledging the hard work of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. I am giving a big shout out to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service whose crews have been working very hard the last couple of weeks during an unprecedented fall wildfire season. I am very proud of you and I hope that my efforts in posting on the major wildfires they have been fighting honor your hard work and the hard work of the local fire departments who have helped you by providing structure protection on some of the wildfires. There are many smaller wildfires that they have been fighting that I don't know about. Kudos to you. 

With multiple wildfires that I am reporting on today, I want to try to keep things simple. This post will serve to provide November 8th updates from the NJ Forest Fire Service (NJFFS) on the following wildfires: 

• Bethany Run Wildfire (Burlington and Ocean Counties)
• Shotgun Wildfire (Ocean County)
• Pheasant Run Wildfire (Gloucester County)
