Fire Weather Outlook for February 27, 2018 issued by NWS Storm Prediction Center on February 27, 2018

I don't know of any significant wildfire activity that occurred in Oklahoma yesterday, February 26th. I suspect that there may well be smaller wildfire in Oklahoma yesterday that I am not aware of.

There were at three larger wildfires in Texas on February 26 according to the Southern Area Coordination Center's (SACC)Morning Report for February 27th (the current morning report is found under Southern Area Productions):
  • Head 2, Fire started on February 25th, 300 acres is 100 percent contained.
  • Newell Fire, started on February 26th. According to this Texas A&M Forest Service Incident Information Twitter Post burned 4,022 acres up from the 2,500 acres reported by the SACC earlier this morning.
  • 57 North Fire started on February 26th, 700 acres burned is 100 percent contained.
