The New Jersey Forest Fire Service (NJFFS) scheduled
prescribed burning today, Monday March 19th, in the following counties. With another nor-easter on the way this Wednesday that may dump up to a foot of snow on New Jersey and environs, I would suspect that the snow (if it materializes) could put a damper on prescribed burning at the end of the week. Tomorrow looks iffy, with light snow forecast so I don't know if the NJFFS will be doing any prescribed burning tomorrow. Thanks to my friends at the
B10 NJ Wildland Fire Page for the information on today's prescribed burns. A map of New Jersey by NJFFS Division may be found
here (you may have to scroll down a bit to see the map. Fire towers in NJFFS Divisions B and C were staffed today.
