The New Jersey Forest Fire Service (NJFFS) has begun to do prescribed burns to reduce litter and plants in the field or forest to reduce the chance of wildfires. For more on the NJFFS prescribed burning program read this news release from February 2022.
On February 6th prescribed burns were conducted in Burlington, Camden, Ocean, Somerset and Sussex Counties, for more information see this Facebook Post by the NJFFS.
