2023 New Jersey Wildfire Season: Dragway Wildfire (Wharton State Forest) Aug 21st update

As you can see from the NJFFS update below, the Dragway Wildfire has grown to 1,200 acres and is at 40% containment. Jackson Road continues to be closed and no structures are threatened.

Last night, August 20th, I posted about the Dragway Fire that is burning in the Wharton State Forest, go here to see that post. As I write this, according to the latest update (embedded below) from the NJ State Forest Fire Service, the Dragway Wildfire has burned 600 acres and is 10 percent contained. Jackson Road will be closed at 11:30 AM. With the additional acres burned, the Dragway Wildfire is now in Camden and Burlington Counties.
